QUEEN ASHLEY OGUNWUSI TO GRACE ODUN OMO OLOWU 2026 GRAND FINALE IN ABEOKUTA, SPECIAL GUEST AT ROCK OF SALVATION CHURCH'S 30TH ANNIVERSARY IN IBADAN

It will be a busy weekend for Her Majesty, Olori Ashley Afolashade OjajaOgunwusi, Yeye Omi Oodua. On Saturday, October 31, she is expected in Abeokuta for the grand finale of the Odun Omo Olowu 2026 festival, and the next day, she will be in Ibadan as a special guest at the 30th anniversary and cathedral dedication of the Rock of Salvation Apostolic Church.

Her Abeokuta engagement is confirmed in an official invitation letter signed by Chief (Professor) Moruf Lanrewaju Adelekan, the Akingbogun of Owu Kingdom and Chairman of the Central Planning Committee. The finale where she is expected to feature will hold at the African Church Central Primary School, Ita Iyalode, Owu, Abeokuta.

The 13-day festival is held under the royal fatherhood of the Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Oba Sakariyya Adelola Matemilola, FNSE, Oluyalo Otileta VII, alongside the Balogun and Prime Minister of Owu Kingdom, former President Chief Olusegun Aremu Obasanjo, GCFR. Organizers say they are looking forward to welcoming Olori Ashley, who will be a principal royal guest alongside traditional rulers, civic leaders and political figures.

The festival began on Monday, October 19, with inter-faith prayers and a press conference addressed by the Olowu. Its theme centres on strengthening the Owu legacy and driving community development. Youth sports preliminaries kicked off the same week, along with a symposium that spoke to young people about leadership and personal growth.

October 21 brought the biggest development of the programme so far, the groundbreaking of the Owu Muslim Community Hospital. In the days that followed, royal visits and cultural processions moved through historic Owu settlements, including Apomu, Erunmu, Orile Ifo and Abule Owu. The youth sports finals wrapped up on October 26.

Tomorrow's finale is expected to bring royal homage ceremonies, Gbedu drumming, cultural dances and community presentations celebrating the heritage of the Owu people.

From Abeokuta, Olori Ashley heads to Ibadan, where the Rock of Salvation Apostolic Church will welcome her as a special guest at its 30 years anniversary and dedication of its new cathedral on Sunday, November 1, 

The celebration is themed "The King's Ways," taken from Isaiah 30:21, and will be hosted by the church's leaders, Apostle Israel Olubori and Prophetess Mary Olubori. The guest ministers are Pastor (Dr) Mathew Ashimolowo of the Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC), Apostle Akinsola Godwin of Palace of Miracle, and Pastor A. T. Williams of God of Glory Christian Church.

Osun State Governor, Ademola Jackson Adeleke, is billed to make a special appearance, along with royal fathers of the day and other eminent personalities.
