About 150 youths have graduated from a training programme in Digital Marketing and Digital Fashion Illustration organised by the Mosan-Okunola Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in partnership with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.

The graduation ceremony, held in Mosan-Okunola on Thursday 8th October 2026 was attended by the Executive Chairman, Hon. Akindele Adunni Opeyemi, who used the occasion to urge the beneficiaries to turn their newly acquired skills into sources of income.

"I believe in putting the right thread in the right hole. I am seeing future CEOs here. Don't just get a certificate to boost your CV, learn to earn," the Chairman told the graduands.

She disclosed that the council has provided start-up kits and equipment for all the beneficiaries, while GIZ will support each of them with N100,000. She added that a monitoring committee will be set up to ensure the resources are used judiciously.

Speaking on behalf of GIZ, Mr. Ayomikun Olugbode commended the Chairman for her commitment to the programme. He noted that while organisations can offer ideas and support, it takes dedicated local leadership to turn them into meaningful opportunities for residents.

Among those present at the colourful ceremony were the Leader of the House, Hon. Oluwatosin Afuape; the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), Hon. AbdulHameed Ayodele Alawaye; the Chief of Staff, Hon. Tolulope Falope; supervisors; special advisers; and management staff of the council.
